Maximilian’s fiction explores the fault lines between mythic fantasy, surreal dreamscape, and the fragmented reality of the modern world.

Drawing inspiration from Cormac McCarthy’s stark landscapes, Haruki Murakami’s liminal strangeness, J.R.R. Tolkien’s mythic resonance, and Philip K. Dick’s twisted technoparanoia, he crafts stories of dislocation, dissolution, and the fragility of human perception. His work has appeared in Elegant Literature, Written Tales, and Stardust Press.

When not writing, he studies myth and philosophy, participates in ecstatic bass rituals, works with his hands in the earth, or wanders the world’s wild places.
